Air Carshare Cooperative

Throughout our 20-year history we have been approached by many communities in the Kootenays interested in offering carsharing to their residents. Our model of fleet carsharing wasn’t viable in all areas but we wanted to find a solution that could service every Kootenay community: inroducing Air Carshare, a peer-to-peer carsharing program. Think of it as AirBnB for your vehicle. For the last year, we have been piloting the Air Carshare program, which allows individuals to list their vehicles in our booking system. The vehicle owner is responsible for maintenance, repairs, and fuel costs while KCC provides the insurance and infrastructure to share their vehicle with our certified members.
