Goonieland Permaculture Farm is an off-grid small farm perched on the edge of the Rockies overlooking the Columbia Valley. We produce forest-raised pork, eggs, garlic & CBD hemp. We use Organic and Korean Natural Farming techniques to build fertility and nourish our crops & animals.
We run a farrow (born on farm) to finish pork operation. By being a part of the birth through harvest cycle we ensure that our pork comes from healthy breeding stock and has proper animal husbandry from start to finish. Our pigs are fed a spray-free, non-GMO, soy-free feed that we ferment for better digestion and overall health. The pigs also eat vegetables year-round from a local food recovery program. Our pigs live in forest paddocks where they can root & wallow.
We run a diverse flock of 50-100 layer hens who spend summers in the woods and winters living it up snow-free in our large commercial greenhouse. Our eggs are non-GMO, spray & soy-free just like our pork.
We grow medicinal strains of hemp for CBD in a commercial greenhouse with a diverse cover-crop of vegetables. You can find our farm products at Eat Pure Mountain Market or contact us directly.
Permaculture is a system of perennial agriculture emphasizing the use of renewable natural resources, multi-systems interaction, and the enrichment of local soils and biodiversity. We aim to be a model for appropriate land stewardship, sustainable building practices, alternative energy use, and profitable food production.
